What you will be working on (Job Description): At Blackspoke, people are our differentiator. Our work depends on a TS/SCI cleared Senior Linux Systems Engineer joining our team to support our customer and help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter.
- Design and define system architecture for new or existing computer systems
- Contribute to completion of specific engineering programs and projects
- Develop solutions to a variety of complex engineering problems
- Perform complex systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the end
- Oversee complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools
- Perform complex systems modeling, simulation, and analysis
- Prepare and maintain documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects
- Maintain current knowledge of rapidly changing technology
- May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
- May serve as a team or task lead
What you will bring to us (Required Skills):
- Education:BA/BS or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
- Qualifications:8+ years of related experience
- Clearance:Active TS/SCI clearance required and able to pass a CI polygraph
- Required Skills:Linux systems administration
Would be nice if you bring the following (Highly Desired):
- Deep expertise in one of the following areas and working knowledge in one or more of the others:
- Operational support
- Virtualization technologies (VMware, virtual networking, vROPS, XenServer/XCP-ng)
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux, YUM, Satellite, Capsule technologies
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Ceph storage platform
- GitLab
- Scripting/Coding (Bash, Python, etc.)
- Kubernetes
- Ansible
- Helm charts
- Automation
