What you will be working on (Job Description): At Blackspoke, people are our differentiator. Our work depends on a TS/SCI cleared Senior Linux Systems Engineer joining our team to support our customer and help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter.

• Design and define system architecture for new or existing computer systems
• Contribute to completion of specific engineering programs and projects
• Develop solutions to a variety of complex engineering problems
• Perform complex systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the end
• Oversee complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools
• Perform complex systems modeling, simulation, and analysis
• Prepare and maintain documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects
• Maintain current knowledge of rapidly changing technology
• May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
• May serve as a team or task lead

What you will bring to us (Required Skills):

• Education:BA/BS or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
• Qualifications:8+ years of related experience
• Clearance:Active TS/SCI clearance required and able to pass a CI polygraph
• Required Skills:Linux systems administration

Would be nice if you bring the following (Highly Desired):

• Deep expertise in one of the following areas and working knowledge in one or more of the others:
  • Operational support
  • Virtualization technologies (VMware, virtual networking, vROPS, XenServer/XCP-ng)
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux, YUM, Satellite, Capsule technologies
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Ceph storage platform
  • GitLab
  • Scripting/Coding (Bash, Python, etc.)
  • Kubernetes
  • Ansible
  • Helm charts
  • Automation
