Key Responsibilities:

1. Program Management and Coordination:

Oversee and manage medical, clinical and quality projects, ensuring they align with organizational goals.

Coordinate projects related to patient safety, clinical effectiveness, and quality improvement.

Act as the primary point of contact for cross-departmental initiatives involving medical affairs.

2. Data Analysis and Reporting:

Analyze data related to quality, safety, and clinical performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement. Generate regular reports and dashboards for leadership on the progress of quality and safety initiatives. Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate data capture and reporting.

3. Operational Support:

Provide operational support for medical and clinical affairs, including managing daily workflows, timelines, and deliverables. Assist in developing and implementing operational plans that support clinical and quality objectives. Ensure that resources are effectively utilized to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

4. Project and Initiative Oversight:

Lead and facilitate the planning and execution of key projects related to medical, clinical affairs and quality. Track progress and outcomes of clinical initiatives, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies related to quality and safety.

5. Stakeholder Collaboration:

Work closely with clinical teams, physicians, and administrative staff to drive the successful implementation of clinical programs. Serve as a liaison between clinical teams and leadership, fostering open communication and collaboration. Coordinate with external partners, vendors, and accreditation bodies as needed.

6. Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities for operational and process improvements within medical and clinical affairs.

Implement standardized procedures and protocols to enhance efficiency and patient outcomes. Ensure continuous improvement initiatives are aligned with strategic priorities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in healthcare operations, quality management, continuous improvement or a similar role. Strong knowledge of healthcare quality metrics, patient safety programs, and clinical operations. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams. Experience in project management and process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma is a plus). Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools such as Power BI and advanced excel.

Reporting Structure: The Medical and Clinical Affairs Program Manager will report directly to the Regional Chief Medical Officer and will collaborate closely with clinical and administrative teams.

Job Summary:

Manages the daily operations of the medical staff services area.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serves as a principal resource for ensuring compliance with internal and external standards, including accrediting and regulatory agencies, and for guiding decision-making/dispute resolution processes.

  • Participates as team member and leader in quality improvement activities related to medical staff and medical staff services, including process improvement, development of policies and procedures, and information exchange.

  • Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment and payroll.

  • Develops and manages the budget and medical staff account, preparing justification for resource allocation and suggestions for discretionary fund expenditures, including overtime, revenue and expense reports for medical staff, resource management, and dues and fees collections.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience and education

EXPERIENCE

  • One year medical staff experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.

  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.

  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.

  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.

  • Frequent keyboard use/data entry.

  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.

  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.

  • Rare climbing.
