Aston Carter Donor Specialist in Saint Louis, Missouri

Description:

Duties:

• Work with donors, both current and prospective, providing accurate information by telephone, letter and e-mail

• Partner with database administrator and Development team to ensure accurate donor information

• Process and report all pledges and payment, matching gifts, gift cancellations and other donor-related transactions

• Manage telemarketing and direct mail campaigns, and the staff and volunteer calling sessions

• Manage the pledge acknowledgment, reminder and redemption processes

• Manage all tributes, lifecycle letters and gifts

• Other assigned duties as needed

Policies and Procedures:

• Maintain and improve the existing systems and processes to provide efficient gift processing and acknowledgment, gift accounting, reporting and stewardship

• Drive continuous business improvement

• Create operational efficiencies by partnering with all departments

• Maintain a record of all donor services policies

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to use database to ensure accuracy of information input, and to find answers to donors’ and staffs’ questions essential

• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong problem solving skills

• Attention to detail, excellent project management and organization skills

• Strong interpersonal communication skills and pleasant phone manner essential

• Proficiency with all Microsoft applications and database experience

• Strong research and writing skills

• Ability to use discretion when handling and communicating sensitive information

• Able to work independently and as part of a team

• Flexible, can-do attitude essential

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• 2+ years’ experience in nonprofit or customer service

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
