Job Title: Controller
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing month-end close processes, preparing consolidated financial statements, and ensuring annual tax compliance. This role requires strong financial acumen and the ability to work closely with various internal departments and external auditors. The Controller will also lead accounting projects, support FP&A in budget forecasting, and maintain systems that verify the integrity of all financial data.
Responsibilities
Manage month-end close processes through balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of consolidated financial statements for CFO review.
Ensure annual tax compliance and prepare tax provisions.
Act as a liaison for external audits and complete audited financial statements.
Prepare and present periodic MIS reports for internal departments including Operations, Finance, Legal, and Human Resources.
Assist and support periodic TTB – DSP reporting and tax filings.
Lead accounting projects requiring judgment and knowledge of US GAAP.
Lead P&L modeling to determine project-based gross margin profitability.
Support requests from local entities and various stakeholders throughout the organization.
Support FP&A in the annual budget and periodic forecasting processes.
Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes, and data, enhancing the company’s value.
Essential Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in a Big 4 or large regional accounting firm preferred, or 5-10 years of progressive experience in a full cycle accounting function.
Active CPA License preferred.
Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with ERP systems, preferably Datacor.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in manufacturing accounting.
Strong knowledge of general ledger, financial reporting, and journal entries.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position with a Monday to Friday schedule. Flexibility for extended or unplanned work hours is required.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $135000.00
