Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Attorney/Lawyer based in SAINT LOUIS, Missouri, United States. The role involves working in the areas of insurance defense, medical malpractice, and labor and employment law. As an Attorney/Lawyer, you will be expected to perform a variety of tasks, including case management, document management, briefing, and civil litigation.
Responsibilities:
• Work on various aspects of insurance defense, medical malpractice, and labor and employment law
• Utilize case management software for efficient handling of cases
• Conduct research, draft pleadings, and prepare legal documents
• Attend court hearings and defend depositions
• Manage documentations related to cases and maintain accurate records
• Use briefing skills to present case strategies and updates
• Operate billing software specific for attorneys
• Handle cases related to environmental law and defense litigation
• Ensure detail-oriented communication with clients and team members
• Maintain licensure in Missouri and eligibility for licensure in Illinois Requirements • Proficiency in Case Management Software to manage and track legal cases effectively
• Expertise in Document Management for efficient organization and retrieval of legal documents
• Exceptional skills in Briefing to communicate case information succinctly
• Experience in Civil Litigation for resolving non-criminal disputes
• Knowledge of Billing Software for Attorneys to manage billing and invoicing procedures
• Must be a Licensed Attorney, authorized to practice law
• Proven track record as a Litigation Attorney, representing clients in lawsuits
• Specialization in Environmental Law will be an added advantage
• Experience in Defense Litigation, representing defendants in civil lawsuits
• Ability to Draft Pleadings to initiate or respond to a lawsuit
• Experience in preparing Legal Pleadings to state the facts and purposes of a case
• Proficiency in Preparing Pleadings to communicate the intention of a lawsuit
• Experience in Defending Depositions to protect client's interests during testimonies
• Proven ability to manage Depositions, taking sworn out-of-court testimonies
• Willingness to Attend Hearings to represent clients or present evidence
• Experience in Court Hearings, presenting cases before a judge or jury
