Position Summary

The Assistant Manager, Digital Economy is responsible for developing and launching new products tailored to the online channel. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet the market needs and drive business growth.

Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Understand and deliver on the digital product innovation aspirations as outlined in the 3-year Auto Care Category and Digital Economy strategy

  • Stay educated on digital product innovation taking place in the marketplace by competitors and in adjacent categories

  • Identify market research and analysis needed to manage and grow the Digital Economy auto care business globally and collaborate with the Business Intelligence and Market Research function to conduct the research and analysis

  • Analyze market trends, consumer behavior and competitive products to identify opportunities and trends on which to action, collaborating closely with the Digital Economy marketing and sales leaders

Product Development

  • Develop the 3-year marketing cycle plan for digital platform innovation in the auto category, collaborating with brand management colleagues to develop NPD that aligns with the Global Brand efforts and strategy; share the cycle plan with cross-functional colleagues for visibility and feedback

  • Lead the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to launch working with assigned project managers within the EHI development process

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop customer and consumer friendly products and packaging

  • Develop and manage product roadmaps, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products

Project Launch & Post-Launch

  • Develop go-to-market strategies and launch plans in coordination with the Brand teams, Activation teams and Sales teams

  • Help define and drive organizational understanding of the strategies and go to market approach needed to disrupt competitors and gain share in our respective auto categories

  • Develop the creative and communication strategy to support product launches; develop and execute the assets, leveraging internal and external resources and partners

  • Measure and monitor post launch results to determine successes and lessons learned

Project Management

  • Manage product timelines, budgets and resources effectively, in partnership with Auto Care Category Project Managers

  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within scope

Digital Economy Capability Development

  • Collaborate with Digital Economy marketing leaders and other cross-functional teams to improve small batch and personalization capabilities

  • Collaborate with Digital Economy marketing leaders and other cross-functional teams to improve our execution and utilization of test and learn capabilities online

What we are looking for

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience

  • 2 - 4 years of related experience, preferably in digital marketing and product development

  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing products

  • Strong understanding of ecommerce platforms, technologies and trends

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment

  • Highly motivated and able to work independently

  • Very strong project management skills and organizational skills

  • Detail oriented with highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to think creatively to develop unique and innovative products that stand out in the market

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency strongly preferred

  • Consumer packaged goods experience preferred

  • Global experience preferred
