Lab Assistant Urgent Hire Paying up to 20/hr

Job Description:

• This person will be pulling samples from trucks, checking for moisture.

• Operate scale and maintain customer service with external customers/grain haulers.

• Operate computer system becoming proficient with applications.

• Complete grading of corn based on training by Manager.

• Assist other personnel as needed.

• Accurately complete any and all tasks in a timely manner as assigned by Manager.

• Maintain a team environment with other departments.

• Maintain a high level of customer service and friendly atmosphere.

• Adherence to all company guidelines and following company directives on regulatory, product quality, food safety, employee and environmental standards

• Read and interpret Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and understand company requirement to comply with all directions for safe use or personal protective equipment requirements as listed on the MSDS

• Maintain a clean and organized work area including cleanliness, serviceability, and accountability of all tools, equipment, and supplies

• Learn and understand the basic operation of the facilities process for a better understanding of company needs

• Immediately notify the Manager, or appropriate management member, of any discrepancies in inventory

Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Some type of previous food manufacturing experience preferred

Specific Physical requirements include:

• Occasionally lifting weights of 50 pounds or less.

• Climbing several flights of stairs and ladders.

• Occasionally bending, twisting, and turning while lifting weights of less than fifty (50) pounds.

• Data entry while seated for greater than one (1) hour
