BAE Systems SCA Electronic Technician III in Saint Inigoes, Maryland
Job Description
The selected candidate will provide C5ISR testing and tech support for the Naval Air Warfare Center-Aircraft Division (NAWC-AD) Special Communications Mission Solutions (SCMS) Radio Integration System (RIS) program. The candidate will provide technical services support in the troubleshooting, installation, integration, maintenance, repair, modification, evaluation, testing, and training of various communications-electronics (C-E) systems and equipment utilized by Department of Defense (DoD), US Special Operations Forces (SOF), and other government agencies as directed. The candidate will also work with technicians, Quality Control, Engineering, Drafting and Project Managers to provide feedback and resolve issues that are focused on maintaining high production quality. The candidate will be located full-time at NAWCAD Webster Field in St. Inigoes, MD with periodic visits to the BAE Systems facility in Lexington Park, MD.
The hourly rate for this position is set by the Dept of Labor and is not negotiable. Current rate is $32.92/hr.
This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in St. Mary's County, near to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.
There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
High School diploma and at least 6 years of experience
Communications Electronics test equipment experience to include multimeters, watt meters, antenna analyzers, communications systems analyzers, frequency counters and audio oscillators
Experience troubleshooting complex communications systems to the component level
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively with internal and external customers, excellent customer relation skills
Ability to travel within the U.S.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Extensive C5ISR knowledge with hands on experience using the L3Harris family of tactical radios and the TRICOM brand products
Proficiency in soldering circuit boards, multi-pin connectors and radio frequency (RF) connectors
Experience with the fabrication of multi-conductor and RF cables
US military tactical communications and electronics repair training.
Pay Information
This position is covered by a wage law called the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA). The wage range for this position is determined by the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor on a contract-by-contract basis.
