Job Title: Welder

Pay/Shift

20-25/hr

Weekend first shift: work 36 get paid for 40 Friday-Sunday

Job Description

Responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture products according to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction. Utilize welding equipment to make repairs to discontinuities of submerged arc weld seams on steel pipe.

Responsibilities

• Perform various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations.

• Manufacture products according to customer drawings and specifications.

• Utilize welding equipment to repair discontinuities in submerged arc weld seams on steel pipe.

• Conduct welding operations using techniques such as MIG, flux core, and dual shield.

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

• Utilize conventional and precision measuring instruments.

• Perform process inspection, certification, and documentation.

• Maintain welding equipment and ensure it is in proper working condition.

• Apply finish grinding using manual and power tools.

• Use various hand tools and equipment for welding operations.

• Adhere to safety and housekeeping standards.

• Complete other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in assigned welding techniques.

• Working knowledge of fixtures and weld set-up parameters (amps, volts, etc.).

• Experience with conventional and precision measuring instruments.

• Ability to perform process inspection, certification, and documentation.

• Experience in welding equipment maintenance.

• Skill in finish grinding applications using manual and power tools.

• Ability to utilize various hand tools and equipment.

• Familiarity with mobile device applications and programs.

• Commitment to safety and housekeeping standards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $39000.00 - $52000.00
