APPLICATIONS ANALYST I

INFORMATION SYSTEMS DEPARTMENT

STARTING SALARY: $69,746.06 - $86,641.07 per year

This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position which includes a full range of benefits including Paid Time Off, Extended Medical Leave, Holidays, Employee Health, Dental, Life, Disability, Retirement, and Tuition Assistance programs.

PURPOSE:

This position is responsible for providing technical product application and database support for various County departments as well as serving as the Subject Matter Expert for those departments and their applications. Accountable for troubleshooting complex software applications issues quickly and successfully and maintaining and upgrading assigned software applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participates in the planning, design, implementation, support, and maintenance of applications.

Monitors performance of various applications.

Serves as Subject Matter Experts for application customer base.

Diagnoses and resolves user problems and educates users on resolutions.

Interact with Information Systems and 3rd party vendors to raise and resolve issues and deploy solutions.

Engages appropriate resources to resolve technical issues and update customers on progress toward resolution.

Escalate issues to management when necessary.

Effectively communicates expectations and status to customers, vendors, and management in a clear and timely fashion.

Participates in projects to ensure successful implementation or upgrades of applications utilizing skills in project management, change management, documentation, and customer service.

Develops and documents standard operating procedures for various processes and update existing documentation as required.

Ensures end user needs are met with consistently high quality of services provided.

Fully document each customer issue and resolution; update our knowledge library.

Document procedures for various duties and update existing documentation.

Performs scripting, testing, debugging and installation activities as necessary.

Relies on established guidelines and instructions to perform daily job functions and make process improvement.

Works collaboratively with multiple customers, users and IS stakeholders as it relates to application delivery, support, and problem management.
