Job Title: Entry Level Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The role involves the development of assemblies for aircraft, including blower motor applications for heat exchangers, air conditioning compressor assemblies, heat exchanger plenum assemblies, and environmental control systems. You will assist with guiding development projects through the FAA certification process, prototyping and testing assemblies, and improving existing products. You will also be responsible for SolidWorks modeling of parts and assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Develop assemblies for aircraft, including blower motor applications for heat exchangers, air conditioning compressor assemblies, heat exchanger plenum assemblies, and environmental control systems.

• Guide development projects through the FAA certification process.

• Prototype and test assemblies, improving upon existing products.

• Perform SolidWorks modeling of parts and assemblies.

Essential Skills

• Knowledge of DC brushless motors and controllers.

• Proficiency in SolidWorks modeling.

• Experience in prototyping aircraft assemblies.

• Understanding of DC electrical circuits.

• Sheetmetal fabrication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Some composite vacuum bagging skills and composite tool making.

Work Environment

This is an on-site role with a flexible schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. It offers a contract-to-hire opportunity to join an aerospace manufacturing team in Saginaw. This position is ideal for entry-level candidates, including those who are taking their first job with a degree.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00
