As a Corporate Counsel at our headquarters in Saginaw, Michigan, you'll be a key player on our legal team, providing specialized legal support throughout our organization.
We're looking for someone with a foundation in transactional and employment law who is ready to apply their skills across a broad spectrum of legal areas.
You'll have the unique opportunity to delve into employment, a wide variety of commercial contracts, data privacy, sustainability and more, ensuring our operations are both legally sound and forward-thinking.
You'll enjoy variety and challenge in your work as you support Morley's diverse B2B services for Fortune/Global 500 companies.
What You'll Do
Work closely with our General Counsel, CEO and leadership team from around the organization
Draft, review and negotiate a variety of contracts, including client and vendor agreements, NDAs and statements of work
Advise on employment law issues, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, and handle employment-related claims and investigations
Assist in mitigating legal risks by designing and implementing company policies and procedures
Support compliance with data privacy requirements and data governance in a multistate environment
Manage the contracts management system and reporting process
Develop and implement corporate sustainability initiatives, ensuring the company's operations are environmentally, socially and economically responsible
Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure legal compliance and support business objectives
Provide legal counsel and guidance on corporate governance, compliance and regulatory matters
Work Location
This is an on-site role at Morley's headquarters campus in Saginaw, Michigan.
Corporate office in Saginaw Township, close to shopping and restaurants

Required Skills
Primarily: Experienced in employment law and contract drafting and negotiation
Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while managing many projects
High ethical standards and professional integrity
Strong technical acumen and ability to quickly learn new technologies
Eligibility Requirements
Desire to advance within the Morley legal department and have long-term impact within the company
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Three or more years of experience practicing law
Licensed to practice law in Michigan, or willing to complete licensure for Michigan
Able to work on site at our office in Saginaw, Michigan, daily
Able to work the following schedule:
Monday - Friday
8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Eastern time
Flexible to support after standard work hours or on weekends if needed to complete high-priority projects or accommodate client / program schedules
