Position Overview:

Direct and oversee all aspects of business systems selection, rationalization, development, implementation and support. Responsibilities include planning, aligning, budgeting, designing and implementing systems in support of the mission, goals, strategies and objectives of the Sutter Health System. Lead strategic visioning of systems to support business transformation in areas such as supply chain, finance, accounting, and more. Participate in definition of business objectives and ensure systems are in compliance to support system standards and federal and state related requirements are adhered to. Monitor functionality of software packages installed at Sutter Health. Facilitate, provide expertise and direction in the effective use and continued growth of the products. Maintain vendor relationships and provide direction in the effective use and continued growth of the systems.

Job Description :

Education:

  • Bachelor of Business Administration or equivalent education/experience required.

Experience:

  • 8-10 years in progressive senior leadership roles, with responsible leadership and management in an information systems environment is required.

  • Proven extensive experience working with vendors, company executives, and information technology to manage complex information systems projects is required.

  • Previous management experience in the evolvement, deployment and utilization of information technology in a healthcare, financial or business environment. Healthcare operations is required.

  • Significant experience with managing multiple projects, systems methodologies, information systems development and/or production support environments, integrating healthcareindustrysystemsincludingfinancial,supply chain, and businesssoftwareis desired.

Knowledge:

  • Proven/demonstrated understanding of and success in the management techniques and communication skills needed to successfully direct andoverseecomplexhealthcareITimplementationprojects,servicesandsupportisrequired.

  • Soundunderstandingofhealthcareoperations including,butnotlimitedtohospitals,clinics,medicaloffices,andinformationtechnologyneeds;acomprehensiveunderstandingofbusinessoperations and financial management processes; a thorough understanding of current trends and strategies in healthcare and their applicationtoinformationtechnologiesisrequired.

  • Knowledgeofongoingnationalhealthcarecomplianceandfinancialrequirementsboth at a federal and state level is required.

  • Familiarity with Workday Human Capital Management, UKG Kronos, and Microsoft Productivity systems is required.

Skills:

  • Strong managerial and leadership skills and abilities are required.

  • Proven interpersonal, oral presentation and written communication skills are desired.

  • Must have seasoned management skills reflecting proven organizational, analytical, problem solving and project management abilities.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence without direct control/authority and to engage in positive, powerful persuasion with individuals or groups with diverse opinions; ability to influence and facilitate administrative and executive teams as needed to ensure effective managementofcomplex,multi-facetedsystemprojectsisrequired.

  • Musthavetheabilitytoworkindependently,prioritizemultipleobjectives in a rapidly changing environment, and deliver quality products.

  • Negotiation skills and development of contract terms are required.

  • Must be able to enlist cooperation and build teams committed to carrying out initiatives in environments that may be resistant to change.

  • Development of Director Level leadership.

The primary office location of this position will be in Sacramento or Emeryville, California

Pay Range is $137.92 to $186.60 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
