Who will you be working with?

The Field Service & Technical Advisor will be responsible to develop practical and innovative ways to identify and meet goals

How will you make a difference?

In this role, you will be responsible for work that is less defined in scope, have the understanding and experience to execute business objectives, and have the ability to effect short term and some long-term business goals.

What do we want to know about you?

Bachelors’ Degree in a Technical discipline from an accredited College or University (or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of Operations or Military experience, OR Associate’s Degree in Technical discipline with a minimum of 2 years professional work experience) Minimum of 3 years of Operations or Engineering experience

What will your typical day look like?

  • Provide technical expertise to railroad employees and management as well as Wabtec employees, including troubleshooting, material handling, tooling, safety procedures, and contract requirement clarification; Provide training / mentorship to customer and Wabtec employees;

  • Coordinate and provide instruction on key programs and procedures

  • Provide clear communication to customer employees, customer management and Wabtec management on work to be performed, equipment status, productivity, and process improvements, and liaison with other departments as necessary;

  • Work with customer employees and management to promote, maintain, and drive continuous improvement in safe work practices while monitoring productivity, quality assurance, and adherence to contract requirements

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, OSHA work practices, and industry / site specific work rules

  • Make risk assessments balancing customer requests with Wabtec requirements

  • Establish production plan for labor, material, and logistics

  • Work with various software systems to manage material, labor plans, and other systemic requirements

  • You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary range for this role is between $75,000-85,000. The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands, and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
