Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Insurance Verification Coordinator based in Sacramento, California. This role plays a crucial function in the insurance industry, where you'll be expected to handle customer inquiries, maintain accurate records and process applications. The role requires a strong understanding of insurance products and an ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications

• Maintain precise records of customer credit

• Handle customer inquiries promptly and professionally

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action based on account status

• Understand and interpret insurance benefits for customers

• Calculate patient's estimated responsibilities based on benefits and scheduled procedures

• Comfortably discuss estimated balances and benefits with patients

• Read and determine the allowed amount for the scheduled procedure(s) from contracts

• Understand the impact of copays, coinsurances, deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums on claim adjudication and patient responsibility

• Work well under pressure and meet or exceed set goals. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role or in the insurance industry

• Proficiency in cash posting is required

• Knowledge of insurance verification procedures is essential

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions

• Knowledge of medical terminology would be beneficial

• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.
