Midsized firm is seeking an associate attorney to join their team in Sacramento, California. In this role, you will focus on litigation matters, particularly in the area of employment. Your responsibilities will include drafting pleadings, conducting legal research, and engaging in motion practice. You will also be expected to maintain a strong understanding of client customer service, meeting client expectations and deadlines with high-quality work products.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support in litigation matters, focusing particularly on employment

• Draft pleadings and respond to discovery requests

• Conduct comprehensive legal research

• Engage in motion practice to progress legal matters

• Meet client expectations and deadlines with high-quality work products

• Foster a strong understanding of client customer service

• Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team environment

• Utilize your strong interpersonal skills for client interactions

• Demonstrate outstanding writing and analytical skills in all aspects of your work

• Leverage your substantial experience in legal research and motion practice

Requirements • Must possess a law degree from an accredited law school

• Admission to the State Bar is mandatory

• Proven experience in the role of an attorney or lawyer, preferably in the field of employment law

• Expertise in civil and employment litigation is required

• Demonstrated skills in motion practice

• Ability to conduct comprehensive legal research

• Proficient in drafting pleadings and other legal documents

• Thorough understanding of employment law and related legal principles

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

• Ability to maintain client confidentiality and uphold ethical standards

• Proficiency in using legal research tools and software.
