Lisa Cole with Robert Half is partnering with a great organization that is hiring for an Assistant Controller in Sacramento, California. In this role, you will assist the CFO in a variety of tasks, including the preparation and review of annual audited financial statements and the renewal and administration of various insurance policies. Responsibilities:

• Assist in reviewing, finalizing, and distributing annual audited financial statements.

• Help renew and administer various insurance policies.

• Participate in the planning, review, and filing of state and federal tax returns.

• Assist in the oversight, strategy, and monitoring of investment portfolios.

• Contribute to the preparation, review and ongoing monitoring of the annual budget, including expense and revenue projections.

• Manage accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.

• Prepare financial presentations, pro forma financial statements, and cash flow projections.

• Create multi-divisional budgets, monitor results, and prepare detailed variance analyses.

• Administer deferred compensation plans and corporate insurance programs.

• Utilize accounting software systems and ERP solutions effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role such as Assistant Controller or similar accounting position.

• Proven experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Familiarity with Auditing processes and principles.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
