Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Senior Accountant based in Northern Tennessee near the Rutledge area. This role is within the manufacturing sector, where the successful candidate will be instrumental in the financial operations of the company. The Senior Accountant will be handling tasks such as financial reporting, asset and liability tracking, profit and loss management, and tax liabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial reports to provide accurate and applicable information to the management • Track and manage company assets and liabilities to ensure the company's financial stability • Oversee profit and loss statements to monitor the company's financial performance • Handle certain tax liabilities as required, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations • Perform cost accounting related to materials and finished goods to ensure accurate costing • Assist with inventory reporting and control to ensure proper inventory management • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial statements • Manage and reconcile bank accounts to ensure accuracy of financial data • Support the audit process and ensure compliance with financial regulations • Leverage skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, Oracle, and Cloud ERP in performing daily tasks. • Proficient in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations

• Demonstrated experience with general ledger and journal entries

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Proven experience with month-end close procedures

• Familiarity with Oracle and Cloud ERP systems

• Must possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred

• detail oriented certification such as CPA is a plus

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation

• Strong problem solving and creative skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
