Operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production, such as tractors, combines, and irrigation equipment.

Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors.

Load hoppers, containers, or conveyors to feed machines with products.

Operate towed machines to plant, fertilize, dust, and spray crops.

Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools, or farm workers.

Mix specified materials or chemicals, and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery.

Spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus and weed growth, and diseases, using hand sprayers.

Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery.

Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions.

Adjust, service, and perform minor repairs on farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions.

Load and unload crops or containers of materials.

During inclement weather use tractors and other equipment to pull semis from the mud if they become stuck.

Guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines, and to discard diseased or rotten products.

Irrigate soil, using portable pipes or ditch systems, and maintain ditches or pipes and pumps

Remove foreign material and snow from around equipment and storage facilities, and apply gravel as needed.

Perform duties of a general farmworker, including:\ Repair irrigation equipment over winter and prepare it for spring set up.

Set up and operate irrigation equipment, and participate in irrigation activities throughout the summer.

Break down irrigation equipment at the end of the season and prepare it for winter storage.

Clean work areas, and maintain grounds and landscaping.

Maintain humidity and temperature in storage facilities year-round using climate control systems.

Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures.
