We are looking for a talented Engine Field Service Technician to join our team specializing in Service for our Diesel Service Department in Rumst, Belgium

Standard workweek of 39 hours, with the flexibility to work overtime as required.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Customer Engagement: By engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner, you will ensure their needs are met promptly and efficiently, enhancing customer satisfaction.

• Specialized Repairs: Utilizing specialized tools and following documented procedures, you will diagnose and complete basic repairs on engines and related components, ensuring high-quality service.

• Issue Escalation: When encountering unresolved issues, you will escalate them to more experienced technicians or supervisors, ensuring that complex problems are addressed effectively.

• Preventative Maintenance: Performing preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards will help in maintaining the optimal performance of engines and related components.

• Documentation: Completing required documentation such as service worksheets, timesheets, and warranty claims will ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with business processes.

• Continuous Learning: By completing training in line with skill and business requirements, you will stay updated with the latest techniques and knowledge, contributing to your professional growth and the company's success.

• Vehicle and Tool Maintenance: Maintaining the cleanliness and proper operation of service vehicles and tools will ensure that you are always prepared for any task, enhancing efficiency and safety.

• Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance: Adhering to all relevant health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and legislations will ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Qualifications

Education/ Experience:

• Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license with no restrictions is required for this position.

• Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred), Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution

• Minimal level of workshop-related experience required, Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

Responsibilities

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Technical Expertise: Demonstrate strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to apply mechanical principles and theories to diagnose and repair Cummins products safely and efficiently. This includes complying with all safe work procedures and using appropriate tools.

• Flexibility and Independence: Be able to work independently as a field service technician, following Cummins guidelines. You should also be flexible with working hours and willing to do overnight stays in the Benelux countries for longer jobs.

• Multilingual Skills: Fluency in Dutch, English, and French is an asset, as it will help you communicate effectively with customers and colleagues in the Benelux countries and potentially worldwide.

• Service Documentation: Be proficient in creating and verifying customer, equipment, and technical information. You should be able to capture specific data using required service tools and follow procedures to document required information in the service management system, ensuring accurate records of the work done.
