Labcorp Project Specialist in RTP, North Carolina

LabCorp is searching for a Project Specialist to join their Molecular Genetics Project Team located in RTP, NC ! You will play a vital role in ensuring the successful execution of projects for the Molecular Genetics, Genomics, and Central Extractions Labs. Working closely with a dynamic team, you will contribute to the planning, coordination, and execution of change management aimed at advancing molecular diagnostics and healthcare solutions.

The schedule for this role will be : 1st shift, Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm but slightly flexible on start time if needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs assigned activities of the project team, and works with the supervisors, managers, and directors on planning, initiating, and completing all assigned Change Controls.

  • Analyzes existing procedures and methods to promote effective operations through standardization, simplification, discontinuance, or other means; installs new systems or procedures in various departments and instructs personnel regarding them.

  • Serves as a subject-matter expert for assigned assays

  • Continually reviews programs and provides training to management and staff on changes and new systems.

  • Generates complete, accurate and timely correspondence such that the reader understands the intended message.

  • Performs administrative support duties (e.g. maintains records, generates and/or sends reports and communications, maintains databases, enters data, files, etc.) completely, accurately, and within established timeframes.

  • Assists supervisor/manager in performing various assigned responsibilities (i.e. planning, compliance, troubleshooting, training, making workflow recommendations, etc.) completely, accurately, and within established timeframes.

  • Performs designated QA tasks (products, reports, interfaces, modules, training materials, etc.) before they are released for use.

  • Coordinates work/information between designated parties and ensures optimal performance such that objectives and goals are achieved completely and accurately.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of clinical laboratory testing experience with human specimens is required OR an MLS degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Internal LabCorp experience is highly preferred.

  • Internal Molecular Genetics, Genomics, or Central Extractions experience highly preferred
