Emerson Cybersecurity Group Intern in Round Rock, Texas

Emerson’s Process Systems and Solutions business develops automation software to streamline manufacturing processes. We are looking for a Cybersecurity Group Intern (Summer 2025) who is interested in gaining real-world experience in a dynamic, collaborative environment at our Round Rock, TX location.

As a Cybersecurity Group Intern you will gain experience in the Operations Technology (OT) cybersecurity business while working with subject matter experts who provide cybersecurity services to Emerson customers. Beyond the tasks listed in this job description, and provided that time allows, you will have opportunity to participate in a real project setting (pre or post sales) under the guidance of the Cybersecurity Group.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Support the Cybersecurity Group with tasks that will improve the delivery of cybersecurity solutions to customers.

  • Get involved with the validation of cybersecurity solutions to enable new offerings for our customers.

  • Help developing content for certification programs that other Emerson resources can enroll to improve their cybersecurity knowledge.

  • Optimize templates used by the Cybersecurity Group when preparing project documentation we deliver to customers.

  • Streamline reporting tools currently used to generate cybersecurity assessments to customers.

Who You Are:

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university

  • Pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a similar field of study.

  • Good understanding of Microsoft tools such as: Word, Excel, Sharepoint, OneDrive, etc.

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States. Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Entering either their Junior year or later.

  • Exposure to: automation systems, process control, cybersecurity, coding and programming skills – these are not mandatory (preferred only)

  • Previous internship experience in a professional environment

  • Strategic mindset and self-motivated

  • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills

  • Innovative approach to solve problems
