Description

UES is seeking a CMT Project Manager for our Round Rock location. In this role, you will manage construction materials testing projects, collaborating with clients and team members. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required, though relevant project management experience may be considered. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader, dedicated to fostering the UES culture and ensuring high-quality project delivery. A positive attitude, industry experience, and a commitment to excellence are essential.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Project coordination and project management of construction materials testing (CMT) work from small to large scale projects through completion.

  • Produce change orders when necessary to complete the project.

  • Analyze, review and prepare various reports for clients for commercial, industrial, government and residential projects.

  • Do regular field inspections to assess the site, employees, and make contact with managing personnel in the field.

  • Be available for client consultation as requested.

  • Conduct regular interface meetings with the employees that will be reporting to you under the mentee program as well as those employees who are working on your jobs.

  • Conduct meetings with clients and UES personnel for job starts, pier starts and other pertinent start-up times as outlined by client contracts or UES management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position oversees technicians in two ways: in a mentor capacity including approving time off, coaching, commendations, disciplinary actions and performance reviews; secondly in a project management capacity ensuring that the personnel are informed and performing the tests as required by our client contracts, UES expectations, and ASTM protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead project teams.

  • Proven leadership skills.

  • Valid Texas driver license.

  • Preferred: Bachelor degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field.

  • Preferred: EIT Certification or PE license in the State of Texas
