Here is what you will be doing each day:
We seek an exceptional individual to join our team as a Restaurant Supervisor. As a Restaurant Supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting the Restaurant Manager in all phases of the restaurant, events, and outlet operations, including In-Room Dining. You will ensure seamless restaurant operation and serve as a key point of contact for both guests and team members, especially during high-volume periods.
Responsibilities
MonitorMonitor food and beverage team members to all service standards and always assist team members.
Supervise service of guests, being watchful of signals from guests in need of service, present as floor during all meal periods.
Assist manager to establish and monitor side work duty completion, to include kitchen duty completion (pre, during, and post) service duties.
Securing payments, ensure team are following established protocol for the gratuity distribution.
Read daily communication sheets from previous shift and prepare one for the following shift. Check floor plan for appropriate coverage.
Check restaurant and event spaces for cleanliness and set up. Check service stands. Check tables for cleanliness and proper set up, to include all patio spaces.
Abide by all Provincial, Federal, and corporate liquor requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages and ensure compliance to safe food handling practices.
Communicate daily with the restaurant manager about special events, house counts, etc. Attending to all service deficiencies in a timely manner, ensure proper documentation.
Assist restaurant manager in conducting menu classes, taste panels, and departmental meetings.
Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear directions to all team members.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis PM or AM, to include weekends and scheduled for weddings and events as required.
Perform any other job-related duties as assigned. Attend operational meetings as required in the absence of a restaurant manager. This includes shift stand-ups, BEO meetings, etc.
Ensure team members are following WCB regulations in handling of chemicals and use of PPE.
Ensure there is a positive service culture, detailed product knowledge, and upselling opportunities available.
Qualifications
Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
Self-starting personality with a professional appearance and manner.
Strong sales and upselling techniques.
Ability to lead by example, "pitch-in," and help co-workers.
Proficiency with point-of-sale systems.
Physical ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull carts weighing up to 150 pounds.
