About the Opportunity:

As a Field Technical Training Specialist with Life Fitness, you will provide field support to customers (internal and external), distributors, dealers, 3rd party logistics, and 3rd party service providers in installation, maintenance and repairs on all LF product. Also act as primary field liaison for 3rd party independent service operators in assigned territory. Along with conducting training and service programs in the operation and maintenance of products. There will be up to 60% travel for training.

This position is a remote role and will be located in the Field.

Life Fitness\' FTTS are responsible for:

Technical Training Events (50%)

  • Lead or co-lead all assigned in-person and remote training events
  • Create all related content needed to successfully conduct all assigned in-person and remote training events
  • Create all pre and post training event tests and reports
  • Book all travel for training events in a timely manner with cost reduction in mind
  • Create and maintain a folder on the Teams training site for each training event (includes in-person, Joliet, webinars)
  • Create training follow-up documentation within next business week after event. If there is back to back week of traveling for events than all follow-up docs due the week when returned to home office
  • Send training follow-up documentation to the appropriate parties
  • Send TCT certificates to attendees within 1 week of passing test

Administrative Responsibilities (45%)

  • Obtain pre-approval from Management prior to all travel
  • Request make-up days via email within 2 business days for any personal time spent traveling
  • Submit expense report within following business week of travel
  • Keep shared training calendar up to date with all events and time off
  • Maintain Van Inventory to less than \$3K
  • Maintain Teams shared folders for training tea
  • Complete all admin responsibilities on billing customers/sales for training events within 1 business week of event

Given a week of no travel, below are the expectations during that business week:

  • Perform minimum 1 full day in the field doing:
    • Ride along with LF Tech
    • Ride along with ISO
    • Ride along with Sales
    • Customer visits
  • Create a minimum of 1 new technical document, (15 minimum per year) including:
    • Training docs or presentation material for future training event (add to training content folder on teams site)
    • Knowledge base article (send to Andrew T and cc manager to publish)
    • Training video for ALM (send to Fran and cc manager to post)
    • Field Service Newsletter article (sent to Matt C and cc manager to publish)
    • PACE support documentation
    • Training needs analysis
    • Work on all Admin and Other duties listed in this document
    • Attend and actively participate in all planned meetings

OTHER

  • Be available during normal business hours for tech support phone calls with other LF techs, ISOs, customers, sales etc
  • Actively participate in all meetings
  • Proactively identify training needs/gaps for both LF techs and ISOs based off meeting attended and interactions with techs
  • Proactively identify training needs for new products / Pace projects

What are we looking for in our FTTS (qualifications)?

  • A minimum of 5 years field maintenance and repair experience required; Experience analyzing, evaluating, and diagnosing complex equipment problems in a timely fashion
  • Demonstrated technical expertise with Life Fitness or similar electro-mechanical products required
  • Must have and maintain a clean driving record and valid driver\'s license
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 60% of the time
  • Demonstrated training ability
  • High level of professionalism with excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) - direct customer and business partner interaction is routinely required
