Become a Senior Manager, Enterprise Data Services at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll be managing a group of subject matter experts responsible for developing and implementing data services for SCE in areas Root Cause and Continuous Improvement, Metrics, Critical Business Records and Cross-Cutting Data Quality. Additionally, you will be responsible for collaborating with various data teams across SCE representing Enterprise Information Governance, working with a variety of Business Unit stakeholders such as Business Analysts, Data Stewards, Data Owners, Information Architects, OU Leadership and Enterprise Risk Management SMEs.

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Collaborate with Business SMEs and leadership to understand data services needs in the areas of metrics, Critical Business Records and Root Cause Process.

  • Work with Sr. Leadership stakeholders from IT and OUs, and risk management to direct priorities for the Data Services team.

  • Drive establishment of an agile services model to ensure timely delivery of services to various OU departments across SCE.

  • Actively benchmark with SCE peers and other industry leading standard bodies and vendor partners.

  • Measure and report performance of Data Services to various Sr. Leadership forums.

  • Develop strong relationships with key business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of services and understand emerging issues that may impact delivery.

  • Interact with key stakeholders of various large programs to understand the needs of data governance services and develop appropriate engagement model.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to manage feedback and develop plans to improve data services.

  • Based on emerging business risks provide inputs where applicable to strategic longer-term data plans and roadmap.

The essentials

  • 5 or more years of managing a team/supervisory experience or project management

  • Experience leading/managing data governance related activities including\: establishing an efficient service delivery model, building strong relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders and driving continuous improvement initiatives

  • Experience with emerging technologies and related implications on data assets

The preferred

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent

  • Certified Data Governance Professional (ICCP)

  • DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)

You should know

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
