In this job, you’ll contribute to cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of the environmental processes and work management systems in collaboration with collaborators. The position will engage in enhancement projects to continuously improve or develop new digital capabilities. The position will engage with strategic and OU partners to understand priorities and communicate environmental requirements. The position will track and report on key performance metrics. The position will address issues and solve problems to advance projects and provide on-time and on budget delivery while maintaining environmental compliance.

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Direct external consultants to perform intake of work and projects for all environmental compliance areas and make assignments to task owners performing environmental review.

  • Coordinate with subject matter experts to identify applicable compliance requirements and cost estimates.

  • Engage regularly with OU partners to understand priorities and communicate environmental requirements.

  • Address issues and solve problems to advance projects and provide on-time and on budget delivery while maintaining environmental compliance.

  • Implement existing processes and develop new processes in alignment with Environmental Management System procedures.

  • Analyze, track and report on performance using various systems and applications.

The essentials

  • 7-years’ experience in managing or supervising projects.

The preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related environmental or management discipline

  • 7-years’ experience in environmental compliance

  • Experience as a subject matter expert in effectively managing business processes and risks and identifying new and existing opportunities to minimize operational impacts.

  • Experience interfacing with technical and non-technical audiences including peers, clients, and contractors/consultants.

  • Customer focused to understand and respond appropriately to clients’ business needs.

  • Utility industry experience.

  • Demonstrated experience working with geo-spatial mapping systems or equivalent applications.

  • Demonstrated experience working with work management systems or applications.

You should know

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.

  • The primary work location for this position is Rosemead. However, the successful candidate may also be asked to work for an extended amount of time at (alternate work location).

  • Position will require up to 30% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
