A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Monitor and ingest internal and external threat reports, feeds, alerts, dark web, and additional sources to maintain subject matter expertise on the latest adversary campaigns and tactics

  • Regularly develop and deliver intelligence briefings, reports, and products to cross-cyber functions, leadership, and other business units.

  • Aid in the build-out and continued operationalization of our Threat Intelligence Platform

  • Aid in the capability and process of using analytic techniques to characterize and link suspicious SCE network traffic to external malicious indicators.

  • Contribute to other various cyber threat intelligence program functions.

  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

The essentials

  • Five (5) or more years of experience in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related Information Technology role.

  • Two (2) or more years of experience in a Cyber Threat Intelligence function.

  • Experience developing and providing technical cybersecurity briefings and reports.

  • Experience in Incident Response, Threat Hunting, and/or other SOC functions

The preferred

  • Experience with adversary infrastructure link analysis using tools, such as Maltego or similar Open source intelligence (OSINT) platforms or tools.Experience operating a functional Threat Intelligence platform or tool.

  • Experience with advanced intelligence and structured analytic techniques.

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to blend into our CSOC and SCE culture.

You should know

  • This position’s work mode is *hybrid. * The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.

  • Relocation does not apply to this position.

  • The primary work location for this position is Rosemead. However, the successful candidate may also be asked to work for an extended amount of time at alternate office locations.

  • Position will require up to 5% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.

  • This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position – Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.

  • Candidates for this position must be legally authorized to work directly as employees for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship.

  • US Citizenship required as part of Critical Infrastructure security protocols.
