ADP Legal Compliance Manager in Roseland, New Jersey

ADP is hiring a Legal Compliance Manager .

As a member of the Global Compliance group, you will serve a key role in supporting Global Compliance, ADP Legal, and Business Unit program needs and objectives. You will be reporting to the Sr. Director Core Compliance Operations, responsible for managing the program components throughout the enhancement of the Global Compliance initiatives, specifically driving the daily operations of privacy compliance efforts across ADP. This includes managing all aspects of our privacy reviews, data subject access request processes, conducting first-level privacy reviews, and implementing and maintaining templates and records in our privacy tools.

As part of this work, you will ensure consistent rollout of compliance processes throughout our business. Project activities include work plans related to various work streams, scheduling, managing project deadlines and milestones, preparing Executive readouts, dashboard consolidation of data, collaborating with the various functions and business units, and driving projects to completion.

No two days are the same. You will work alongside a team of passionate, creative privacy and compliance professionals as well as lawyers, and work with product managers and others to address business imperatives, including product development and new data uses in light of current and evolving privacy and compliance regulations and standards. While every day is fast-moving and unpredictable, one thing is sure: people and communication skills are necessary for every aspect of this job.

To thrive in this role, you must have strong project management experience as well as a background in helping businesses comply with multi-national privacy compliance requirements. Ideally, you've managed data privacy risks and processes at an enterprise level. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Here's what you can expect on a typical day:

  • Collaborate. You will liaise with business and development teams regularly, as well as with members of the Privacy team, ensuring the implementation of a sound privacy program to better integrate privacy, security, and compliance in ADP products and processes.

  • Assist. You will support the integration of regulatory Compliance requirements into business practices. As a privacy compliance expert, you will assist with compliance efforts as they relate to the development of new products and features leveraging advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

  • Train. Since you have the experience and the knowledge, you will train teams on Privacy Compliance obligations, as well as assist in the enhancement of the company-wide privacy training.

  • Support. One of your main goals will be to support the business and the Privacy team in the implementation of various project plans defined by ADP to comply with our Binding Corporate Rules, the General Data Protection Regulation, and any local law requirements.

  • Experience. You have 8+ years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

  • You’ll have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

  • Experience managing large-scale programs.

  • Strong relationship-building, written and verbal communication, and project management skills.

  • Demonstrated success managing multiple work streams, and ability to pivot and adapt when priorities change.

The following will provide additional comfortability in the role:

  • You hold Privacy and/or Security certifications (CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, CISM).

  • Experience managing data privacy risks and processes at an enterprise level.

  • Experience managing privacy compliance requirements and providing guidance on privacy issues.

  • Experience training corporate teams on privacy compliance requirements.
