The NC Programming Manager will lead and manage the NC Programming team focusing on implementing, and enforcing standard processes based on direction from leadership. This role involves providing hands-on support to the production floor, ensuring the efficiency and quality of CNC operations, and fostering the development of internal talent. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in CNC programming, a deep understanding of aerospace manufacturing standards, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Role and Responsibilities
- Interpretation of customer CAD models, drawings, and other requirements to determine best manufacturing methods.
- Development of manufacturing processes including tooling design, CNC programs, cutting tool selection and setup instructions.
- Support of shop floor during process prove-out to ensure product compliance and overall efficiency.
- Verify CNC programs on vericut.
- Optimize programs and machining process for cost reduction.
- Revise programs and/or tapes to eliminate errors, and retest programs to check that problems have been solved.
- Attend Department and Company Meetings.
- Perform all duties in accordance with Dynamic NC Quality Management System and Safety standards, using situation-appropriate tools and protective equipment as applicable.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
