Job SummaryThe Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate receipt, packaging, and shipment of products to meet customer requirements. This position requires strong computer skills, basic math proficiency, and the ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts. The successful candidate must possess a valid driver's license and demonstrate attention to detail in all tasks.Essential Functions:Accurately receive parts from suppliers, verifying both the quantity and quality of items received.Efficiently package and ship products in accordance with company policies and customer requirements, utilizing best practices to ensure safe and secure delivery.Generate and process necessary paperwork for parts to be submitted to inspection or other departments as required. Maintain accurate shipment records in the database.Assist with the logistics and shipping for East/West trade shows.May be required to drive company van to pick up parts or deliver to service suppliers, if required.Uphold company standards by promoting good housekeeping practices and adhering to safety objectives through consistent implementation of established policies and procedures.Promptly inform management of any in-transit damage to products or shipments.Perform additional clerical duties as needed to support the logistics department.Qualifications/Minimum requirements:U.S. Citizenship required.Ability to read, write, and speak in English proficiently.High School Diploma, GED, or relevant vocational training preferred.Strong communication and organizational abilities.2+ years of experience in a shipping and receiving role in a manufacturing warehouse preferred.Proficiency with basic math, including the use of scales and calculators.Competent with Microsoft Office Suite preferredExperience in data entry and report generation using database or inventory management software, such as Visual ERP, preferred.Experience with shipping portals preferred.Experience shipping dangerous goods preferred.Knowledge of warehouse procedures, standards, and practices preferred.Must be able to operate warehouse machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.Physical Requirements:Ability to traverse the warehouse and access various storage spaces, including shelving units, by stretching, squatting, and reaching.Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.Must be able to stand and walk for the majority of the shift, with frequent pushing and pulling activities.Job Title: Shipping & Receiving ClerkJob Type: Full timeFLSA Classification: Non-exempt (hourly)Salary Range: $18 to $23 per hour.
