Job Title: General Production Worker

Responsibilities

• Monitor containers filling up with material.

• Swap full containers with empty ones.

• Record finished good weights in a computer database and on paper.

• Label finished products and transfer materials to the warehouse using a forklift.

• Operate a forklift 10% of the day.

• Shovel, sweep, and clean material on the floor.

• Organize the production area and stock empty containers.

• Lift up to 50 lbs consistently and climb stairs throughout the shift.

• Assist with prepping packaged material for orders, including shrink-wrapping packages, banding drums, and filling 50lb pails.

• Perform outdoor tasks such as filling garbage and scrap metal containers.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently.

• Experience climbing up and down stairs throughout the shift.

• Sit-down propane forklift experience with at least 3 months of experience.

• Experience in a rougher environment such as steel, construction, or outdoor work.

• Tolerance for a dusty workplace.

• Steel-toed boots.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Production/Manufacturing experience.

• Recent production experience.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Romulus, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00
