We are seeking Manufacturing Engineer at our Fabrication Division in Romeoville, IL.

JOB DUTIES:

The successful candidate will directly support the manufacturing operation and will be responsible for process improvements and quality enhancements of key manufacturing processes including tube laser cutting, welding, bending and tube forming.

  • Responsible for programming key CNC equipment, including benders, welders, robots, and laser cutting equipment.

  • Responsible for fixture design used to locate and orient parts for robotic welding, bending check, and a 5-axis3D laser cutting robotic cell.

  • Will lead technical and/or cross-functional teams to conduct process optimization, using various problems solving tools and techniques.

  • Support manufacturing investigations, monitoring process performance to meet quality, yield, capacity, and timelines, troubleshooting equipment and processes, providing technical input for SOPs and production records.

  • Evaluate quality control processes and make recommendations for improvements in product quality.

  • Assist as needed with the validation of manufacturing process and machine capabilities.

  • Ensure that manufacturing processes follow safety and environmental regulations.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineer or Manufacturing Engineering.

  • Someone who is a logical thinker and comfortable making decisions to improve manufacturing processes.

  • Familiar with manufacturing equipment, processes and quality techniques.

  • Versed in relevant software (CAD, SOLID WORKS, Mastercam, & MS Office)

  • Project management and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to read and interpret part prints.

  • Teamwork and teambuilding skills.
