We are offering an opportunity for a Sr. Accountant to join our team based in Rome, Georgia. The role involves handling a wide range of responsibilities related to accounting and financial analysis, ensuring the accuracy of financial information and supporting decision-making processes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform critical tasks related to month-end and year-end financial requirements

• Process necessary journal entries to support the monthly accounting process

• Monitor and maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations for certain accounts

• Review detailed financial statements for accuracy and prepare expense, trend, and variance analysis

• Maintain intercompany reconciliations and support the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process through financial analysis

• Coordinate and support corporate audit and tax requirements, working with external audit and tax firms

• Prepare various tax returns, governmental reports, and respond to information requests from governmental and outside reporting agencies

• Manage day-to-day fixed asset management activities including Capital Improvement Program (CIP) tracking, project closure, and asset disposition

• Drive continuous improvement efforts by identifying and eliminating wasteful activities within the position

• Provide primary General Ledger Support for Mergers and Acquisitions activities, supporting the integration of acquisitions into the organizational structure using existing processes and practices

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Month End Close

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Knowledge of accounting principles and standards
