Insight Global is hiring for a Color Application Engineer to join a large, chemical & consumer goods company in Rocky Hill, CT. This Color Application Engineer will be joining a team comprised of 20-25 individuals stemming across Connecticut and California within the Adhesives Technologies group. This group is responsible for the development of adhesives, sealants, and functional coatings for industrial customers as well as aiding in designing and performing test plans related to formula screening. This Color Application Engineer will be supporting R&D projects critical to business as well as road mapping of technology/business development. On a day-to-day basis, this Color Application Engineer will spending 50% of their time within laboratory work including making the color swatches to show the client, working with product development on the formulation of these adhesives and testing its application to ensure functionality, durability, and quality while the other 50% is client facing: presenting to clients and non-technical/technical stakeholders, reporting, and gathering data.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of application or chemical engineering

Preferably within adhesives, coatings, films, or color science

Strong customer relations/ facing experience

Ability to present to both technical & non-technical stakeholders

Strong laboratory skills & working within a lab environment

B.S. Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Material Science or Color Science null
