Tasks/Responsibilities
- Support portions of licensing activities (certifications, permits, approvals, and licenses associated with reactor technologies) and ensure milestones are met as agreed with the U.S. NRC.
- Provide licensing support to engineers in developing technical requirements that will ensure compliance with NRC regulations and guidance.
- Support scope development of the annual regulatory engagement plan, lead regulatory audits and responses to RAIs (Requests for Additional Information).
- Develop licensing content to support portions of Safety Analysis Reports and licensing applications.
- Support planning and executing the X-energy licensing strategy.
- Develop regulatory white papers, technical reports, and licensing topical reports.
- Support development of licensing plans and associated budgets.
- Actively support the X-energy safety culture and ensure integration of quality in licensing processes as informed by the X-energy Quality Assurance Program.
- Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

- Provide feedback and guidance to more junior team members with the execution of the core tasks and responsibilities listed in the Job Profile Task/Responsibilities section of this document.
Job Profile Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in engineering or science (e.g. mechanical, nuclear, electrical, physics) or other related area.
Typically, ten years of relevant licensing experience.
Experience in direct NRC interactions (written and/or verbal).
Understanding of the nuclear regulatory processes in the United States.
Experience in project management related to developing schedules and coordinating team activities to produce technical content for regulatory purposes.
Experience with Civil/Structural licensing, preferred, OR experience with Safety Analysis licensing and advance reactor licensing, preferred.
