Responsibilities for the health teacher include:
Implement content area curricula
Provide necessary accommodations to meet individual, group, and program needs
Implement IEPs
Create a supportive learning environment
Implement Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
Create partnerships with parents and The Katherine Thomas high school community
Requirements for the health teacher:
Bachelors Degree in Health Education or a related field (Required)
Maryland Special Education Teaching Certificate (Required)
Experience with students on the Autism spectrum preferred
