Job Details The Director monitors all aspects of Safety Management Program in accordance with TJC standards and objectives. In addition, they will interface with all regulatory agencies including DOH and others to assure safe hospital environment for both patients and employees. Some key responsibilities include: Risk Assessment and Identifying potential security risks and vulnerabilities within the hospital premises and developing strategies to mitigate them. Implementing and enforcing security policies and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment, including access control measures, visitor management, and emergency response Coordinating with other hospital departments and external agencies to respond effectively to emergencies, including medical emergencies, security incidents, and natural disasters. Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards related to healthcare security and safety. Conducting investigations into security incidents, breaches, and complaints, and taking appropriate corrective and preventive actions. Providing education and training programs for hospital staff on security awareness, emergency response procedures, and other relevant topics. Implementing and managing security technologies such as surveillance cameras, access control systems, alarm systems, and emergency communication systems. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or equivalent experience and education; related areas preferred. Experience/skills: Minimum of five (5) years previous experience in law enforcement/fire safety administration. Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state and local standards fire safety and fire codes. Comprehensive knowledge of requirements of regulatory and accreditation agencies. Excellent communication and management skills Salary Range USD $92,336.00 - USD $120,000.00 /Yr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
