Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Rockford, Tennessee
Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team, located in Rockford, Tennessee. This role centers around the management of accounts payable in a manufacturing setting, including the processing of invoices, and the reconciliation of accounts.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the processing of accounts payable, including invoice matching, batching, and coding from purchase orders.
• Handle the processing of expense reports and ensure their accuracy.
• Manage the reconciliation of credit card accounts, ensuring all charges are accounted for and properly classified.
• Prepare check run or ACH payments for managerial approval, orchestrating payment schedules and ensuring timeliness.
• Assist in departmental special projects, providing support and insight as needed.
• Serve as a backup within the department, stepping in to ensure continuity of operations as necessary.
• Utilize software such as Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and SAP for various tasks, including data entry and account reconciliation.
• Implement a 3 Way Matching system for invoice processing, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate records of customer credit, updating as necessary and ensuring all accounts are up-to-date.

Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience in executing Check Runs and Coding Invoices
• Strong data entry skills
• Familiarity with Invoice Processing procedures
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with QuickBooks and SAP software
• Knowledge of 3 Way Matching in invoice processing
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
