Job Description

The Press Setup Operator will have the opportunity for advancement with our growing client! This is a 1st shift opportunity. Work hours are 10-hour days, Monday - Thursday with optional overtime on Fridays. The role requires 1 year of Press Setup Operator or Setup Stamping Operator experience and a High School Diploma or GED. Our client is seeking a skilled and mechanically inclined Press Setup Operator to join their team. This role is responsible for setting up and adjusting presses to ensure efficient operation, quality production, and minimal downtime. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in working with industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform setups, adjustments, and changeovers on presses according to production requirements.

• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.

• Ensure proper tooling and materials are in place before starting production.

• Conduct inspections to confirm setups meet specifications.

• Work closely with machine operators and maintenance personnel to optimize performance.

• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Assist with preventive maintenance and minor repairs as needed.

• Document setup processes and report any equipment concerns.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic CNC, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems.

• Forklift or crane operation experience (if applicable).

• Proficient in problem solving and troubleshooting.

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to follow safety policies and procedures.

Work Environment

1st Shift: 6am - 4:30pm, Monday - Thursday, with optional overtime on Fridays. The work environment is clean but can be hot in the summer. There are fans for all employees in their workstations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
