Warehouse Operator

Job Description

We are in search of long-term Panel Line Operators who will be a valuable addition to our culture. The position offers a 1st Shift from 5:00am - 3:00pm, and a 2nd shift from 12:30pm - 11:00pm, Monday to Thursday. New hires will initially train on the first shift for a period of 30-60 days. Primary responsibilities include operating a saw and panel line, loading thin sheets of wood or laminate onto the machine, and running boards through rollers. Operators will also be tasked with running a 14-foot beam saw, locating materials, setting the saw to specification, and stacking materials. Attention to detail is vital as mistakes can be costly. Duties and responsibilities also include accurate setup and operation of a cold press and panel saw, adjusting machine settings per job specifications, loading and unloading material, conducting machine and material inspections to ensure product quality, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.

This is a fully on-site position in Rockford, Illinois.

Work Environment

The work environment is well lit, organized, and very spacious. With a maximum of 4 workers per shift, it offers a family-like atmosphere. Please note that it is not climate controlled but fans are provided for cooling in the hot summer months. While the work can get dusty, we are committed to safety and cleanliness. The Rockford location has a total of 30 employees including 6-8 production workers on 1st and 2nd shifts, 1 Operations Manager, 3 Warehouse employees, and office staff.
