Aerotek Material Handler in Rockford, Illinois
Forklift Operator / Material Handler
Responsibilities
Work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Check, sort, and count incoming material.
Prepare warehouse operations for upcoming growth.
Add appropriate labeling to shelves, parts, and bins.
Move material from the receiving area throughout the facility.
Assist warehouse team with the movement of raw materials to correct storage/staging locations.
Perform cycle counts daily, weekly, and monthly as needed.
Count, weigh, and record the number of units of material.
Load/unload material onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves.
Unload trucks as necessary.
Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department lead.
Follow safety rules and keep the work area clean and orderly.
Perform duties as assigned by the supervisor.
