Job Title: Diesel Mechanic
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diesel engine repair, air brake systems, and heavy truck and trailer wiring. The role involves maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of diesel engines and performing various mechanical and fabrication tasks.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair air brake systems including brake adjustment, replacement, and chamber replacements.
Perform heavy truck and trailer wiring system repairs.
Conduct diesel engine repairs on various models including Cummins, Cat, Paccar, and International engines.
Utilize fabrication skills, including wire feed and stick welding.
Maintain and repair hydraulic pumps and cylinders.
Handle DPF and exhaust after-treatment systems.
Perform truck tire repair and replacement.
Work on medium duty trucks, especially Ford F-550 with 6.7L diesel engines.
Diagnose and repair small engines.
Repair and maintain electric trailer brakes.
Ensure A/C systems are functioning, particularly R-134A systems.
Maintain punctuality, safety standards, and cleanliness of the work area.
Essential Skills
Extensive knowledge of diesel engine repair and maintenance.
Proficiency in air brake systems and diagnostics.
Experience with heavy truck and trailer wiring systems.
Skilled in welding and fabrication.
Hydraulic pump and cylinder repair experience.
Knowledge of DPF and exhaust after-treatment systems.
Truck tire repair and replacement skills.
Experience with Ford F-450 and F-550.
Small engine repair and diagnostic skills.
Electric trailer brake repair experience.
A/C certification for R-134A systems.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $72800.00
