Crisis Intervention Intern
Location: Rockford, IL
Position Summary
Under the Program Manager’s direction, the Crisis Intervention Intern will work alongside first responders to provide on-site crisis intervention, de-escalation, and stabilization services for adults and children experiencing or who are at risk for experiencing a behavioral health crisis.
Hours: Flexible schedule
Responsibilities
Internship responsibilities vary and are based on the agreement between the educational institution and NYAP
Perform all work in a manner consistent with the National Youth Advocate Program’s mission, values, and philosophies
Minimum Qualifications
Enrollment in an Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field from a CSWE accredited educational program.
Specific qualifications will be based on internship details.
Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
