The Business Development Executive will grow profitable sales with existing customers and develop business with prospective new customers for the Midwest and South West Territories. Responsibility is to meet sales goals set by management. This role will focus on injectable, oral solid dose and ideally have a background in packaging, labeling and manufacturing within a CDMO environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify and reach out in designated regions to new clients that would be a good fit for PCI’s service offerings through email and telephone calls. Communicate with Team members about potential trends and market movement.
Update database information with new business opportunities, client data, and communications of all forms Maintain and expand working relationships with existing clients and internal teams to expand sales and ensure client satisfaction. Develop additional business with existing clients through selling additional upstream and downstream services and strategically plan and execute maximized pricing guidance. Collaborate with global proposals team for sales opportunities
Negotiate final pricing and terms within stated parameters.
Must be able to travel to attend and participate in sales meetings, conventions, and tradeshows as directed.
Partner with BD colleagues in other segments to drive cross-selling opportunities
Work directly with Quality and Operations to develop and continually improve industry knowledge; share knowledge with BD team during monthly meetings.
Work directly with the VP of BD and Business Proposal Team to continually improve upon PCI proposal templates and proposal process.
This position may require overtime and/or weekend work. Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules. Attendance to work is an essential function of this position. Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or 5-10 years related experience and/or training.
Basic Mathematical Skills
Intermediate Computer Skills: Ability to perform more complex computer tasks and has knowledge of various computer programs.
Full Professional Proficiency: Ability to speak, read, and write fluently and accurately on all levels pertinent to professional needs.
High Reasoning: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where there is only limited standardization. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions that may be provided in various forms.
High Standard of Report Writing
Previous experience negotiating pricing, contracts, confidentiality agreements; supply agreements, consignment agreements a plus.

An interest in the healthcare market
Highly organized, able to manage short to medium term projects
BS/BA in life science or relevant field
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Efficient time management and organizational skills; ability to multi-task and meet deadlines is a must
Flexible and able to work effectively under pressure, handling multiple tasks with interruptions and changing priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Proficiency in Salesforce
