Cabinet Maker
Currently hiring a Cabinet Maker in the Rockdale, IL area. Hiring immediately.
Shift: 1st shift.
Job Description:
Operate various hand tools to fabricate and repair wooden cabinets and high-grade wood components.
Apply laminate to cabinets and other wood surfaces.
Operate woodworking machines such as routers, edge banders, jointers, table saws, and wall saws to cut, shape, and finish wood parts.
Participate in job setup and sequencing.
Correctly read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications of articles to be constructed or repaired.
Mark outline or dimensions of parts on paper or lumber stock according to blueprint or drawing specifications.
Match materials for color, grain, or texture.
Bore holes for insertion of screws or dowels by hand or using a boring machine.
Glue, fit, and clamp parts and subassemblies together to form a complete unit using clamps or clamping machines.
Sand and scrape surfaces and joints of articles to prepare them for finishing.
Dip, brush, or spray assembled articles with protective or decorative materials such as stain, varnish, or paint according to application specifications.
Install hardware such as hinges, catches, and drawer pulls.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills:
Experience in cabinet making, specifically building wood cabinetry.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings.
Understanding of the cabinet-making process from start to finish.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. continuously and be on your feet all day.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Cabinet design experience using CAD or SolidWorks.
Experience with CNC equipment programming.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
