Cabinet Maker

Currently hiring a Cabinet Maker in the Rockdale, IL area. Hiring immediately.

Shift: 1st shift.

Job Description:

• Operate various hand tools to fabricate and repair wooden cabinets and high-grade wood components.

• Apply laminate to cabinets and other wood surfaces.

• Operate woodworking machines such as routers, edge banders, jointers, table saws, and wall saws to cut, shape, and finish wood parts.

• Participate in job setup and sequencing.

• Correctly read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications of articles to be constructed or repaired.

• Mark outline or dimensions of parts on paper or lumber stock according to blueprint or drawing specifications.

• Match materials for color, grain, or texture.

• Bore holes for insertion of screws or dowels by hand or using a boring machine.

• Glue, fit, and clamp parts and subassemblies together to form a complete unit using clamps or clamping machines.

• Sand and scrape surfaces and joints of articles to prepare them for finishing.

• Dip, brush, or spray assembled articles with protective or decorative materials such as stain, varnish, or paint according to application specifications.

• Install hardware such as hinges, catches, and drawer pulls.

• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills:

• Experience in cabinet making, specifically building wood cabinetry.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings.

• Understanding of the cabinet-making process from start to finish.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. continuously and be on your feet all day.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Cabinet design experience using CAD or SolidWorks.

• Experience with CNC equipment programming.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
