Job Title: Fire Sprinkler Mechanic & Foreman

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced a Fire Sprinkler Mechanic and a Fire Sprinkler Foreman to join our team. The ideal candidatse will have extensive knowledge in sprinkler fitting and fire protection systems, with a focus on main lines, sprinkler heads, and various types of pipes including screw pipe, sprinkler pipe, and cast iron.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems on new construction projects throughout NJ.

• Operate and maintain 300 machines for threading and installing pipes.

• Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards and regulations.

• Read and interpret blueprints to plan and execute installation projects.

• Coordinate with team members to ensure timely project completion.

• Maintain a safe and organized work environment, ensuring all team members use PPE and adhere to safety protocols.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 5-8 years experience in fire sprinkler fitting for Mechanic position

• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in fire sprinkler fitting for a Foreman position with experience running jobs and crews

• Proficiency in operating 300 machines and threading pipes.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.

• Strong understanding of fire protection systems.

• Experience with various types of pipes including screw pipe, sprinkler pipe, and cast iron.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• OSHA 10 or 30 certification.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and team coordination abilities.

Work Environment

Work on new construction projects throughout NJ with a schedule from 7:00am to 2:30pm or 3:30pm. Ensure all personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn at all times and have all necessary hand tools and physical certifications.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockaway, New Jersey. Work sites are throughout Northern NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
