About the Position: Serves as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist in support of the Command's global theater operations. Responsibilities Establishes and maintains effective communications with stakeholders. Determines overall project effectiveness to provide recommendations and improvement. Plans complex projects with multiple tasks and multiple stakeholders. Identifies problems or conflicts that might impact the timely completion of work. Reviews short and long-term program requirements to make recommendations for changing mission requirement to ensure they support the organization's mission and goals. Executes initiatives/programs to meet requirements of supported customers while advancing long term readiness capabilities within an acceptable level of risk. Makes recommendations for adjustments to program requirements to ensure they support the organization's mission and goals. Provides input on the implementation of long and short term strategic and operational plans. Collaborates with personnel to negotiate various issues affecting contract actions. Listens and considers different viewpoints and pursues and investigates each member's viewpoints for a broader understanding of the issues and situations being discussed. Influences parties, who have diverse viewpoints, goals, or objectives, or develops an alternate satisfactory solution. Creates a culture of change and innovation within the organization to align with the vision and strategic goals of the organization. Develops, introduces, defends, and gains support for a new approach that creates change. Facilitates the management team's efforts to overcome obstacles. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) providing technical advice to customers and stakeholders on all aspects of acquisition programs related to logistics functions; 2) determining requirements for acquisition and contracted services support programs to ensure they are valid; 3) preparing reports findings and making recommendations for improved efficiency; 4) developing short- and long-range plans related to acquisition programs for contracted services. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-14). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Change Management Influencing/Negotiating Planning and Evaluating Strategic Thinking Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
