About the Position: Serves as a Logistics Management Specialist in support of the Joint Munitions Command within the Support Directorate. Responsibilities Analyze the status, effectiveness, and efficiency of the life cycle of munitions. Provide guidance on life cycle of munitions systems/commodities including functional phases, policies, plans, programs, scheduled priorities, workloads, progress, and resources. Identify and develop methods to resolve problems with installation management, ammunition operations, production, stockpile management, and overall industrial base strategies. Review plans and programs which influence munitions operations to conform to the intent of the Commander. Recommend policies that affect the overall readiness and operation of assigned methods that may have an impact on mission performance. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Evaluating and analyzing directives and policies that affect overall readiness of ammunition lifecycle logistics; 2) Assisting with comprehensive and complex analysis in support of mission execution process improvements that have impact on functions throughout the Command; 3) Analyzing operational efficiency of ammunition life cycle operations within munition logistic systems to effect improvements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Planning and Evaluating Problem Solving Strategic Thinking Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
