The Roaming Shores Police Department is currently accepting applications for the positions of:

Full-Time Patrol Officer

Part-Time Patrol Officer

Patrol Officer Minimum Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Ohio Driver's License.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• United States Citizen.
• Criminal record free of felony convictions or other crimes of aggression, violence or moral turpitude.
• An acceptable driving record that qualifies the candidate to be insurable and to remain insurable under the village's vehicle insurance policy.
• Basic Ohio Police Office Training Academy with current OPOTA certification required at time of appointment.
• Favorable employment history.

Preference will be given to officers who have prior experience, instructor certifications, FTO and LEADS TAC or ATAC certification.

• Completion of a supplemental application packet
• Initial supervisory staff interview
• Physical agility test
• Background investigation
• Polygraph evaluation
• Psychological/Physical examination
• Medical/Drug Screen
• Final oral interview with Police Chief
• Conditional offer of employment

Starting Salary is commensurate with experience and benefits include:

• Full-time starting salary of $21.89 - $24.73
• Merit and longevity pay
• 3.5% OP&F pick-up, Ohio Police & Fire contribution rate Employer 23% Employee 8.75%
